Well firstly can I apologize for my lack of blog activity of late. It has been as much because I have so much to say as because I have been doing so much! So let me start at the beginning….

I wanted to explore deeper into the idea of brain plasticity and in doing so was inspired by the idea that the more we do in our lives; the denser and more intricate our brains become. So if we do the same things, eat the same food, go to the same places, associate with the same people then we won’t get the lovely effective brain we desire. If we want a brain that is receptive to change, we need to open it to change.

One reason that yoga helps our minds accept change more easily is that we encourage within our yoga practice the idea of accepting change, of trying new things, moving in new ways, exploring different feelings…

1. To try new experiences knowing it’s about the journey as much as the destination. We learn from trying and experiencing even when the end result is not what we expected.

2. Yoga helps me open my mind and my heart to new ideas and experiences

3.It doesn’t matter how things look on the outside..what matters is how it feels inside. Do we fee internally aligned with the practice/ idea

This encourages us to try new things off our mat too! dance with life

So… I have been persuaded to try something new!!!

And I am blaming my willingness to do so on my wonderful yoga practice, which provides me with inner belief, an open mind and an optimistic attitude. Sooooo

The news is that I am opening another yoga studio

This will be on the Wirral in Upton Village. This opportunity was given to me as I got involved in the re branding of an existing health club there and became more aware of the lack of yoga classes in the area. Therefore the yoga studio will be situated within the health club; allowing us to share their fabulous changing rooms, reception area (with cool teas/ snacks/ seating area) and even a health shop providing us with many products to nourish bodies and maximize our lives J

I won’t be teaching regular classes there myself as I love my existing classes too much (thank you guys for making my life as full and fun as it is). However the teachers who will be teaching at YogaTLC will all be chosen by me to ensure a very high standard of teaching in many different areas. Including not only adult classes, but also yoga for kids, mum & baby yoga, pre natal/ pregnancy yoga. There will also be specific back care classes, therapeutic gentle classes and daytime as well as evening classes. Basically I want to provide the kind of yoga studio we all dream of having local to us. Somewhere to develop and deepen our regular practice, try new ideas and workshops. I want to develop a yoga centre that can support us throughout our lives, from birth to old age. Providing meditation and mindfulness classes as well as more physical practices.

So I will keep you updated with details and I am sure there will be a few road trips to visit the studio and enjoy the facilities with workshops and nutrition/ lifestyle seminars.
